Jairam Eswara MD, FACS

Jairam Eswara, MD, FACS, a leading expert in urologic care, research, and reconstruction, has been named Chief of Urology. A nationally recognized urology specialist with expertise in urologic trauma, reconstruction, and academic medicine, Dr. Eswara joins us from St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, where he served as Chief of Urology. He brings years of experience in advanced urologic care, surgical innovation, and medical education.

Dr. Eswara earned his medical degree from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program at Harvard Medical School, completed his urology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and pursued fellowship training in Urologic Trauma and Reconstruction at Washington University in St. Louis. He is the author of more than 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and 9 book chapters, and has led or collaborated on numerous research grants. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a National Merit Scholar, Dr. Eswara is active in multiple professional societies and serves on national boards and committees that advance urologic surgery.
