Jaime Capelo Provides legislative and regulatory consulting for a number of clients, including the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, Mednax Medical Group, Texas Urological Society, Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Medical Liability Trust and DaVita Kidney Dialysis Centers.

Mr. Capelo represents a broad range of client interests, giving him an in-depth understanding of the healthcare delivery system. He has represented the Texas ASC Society since December 2004. He is a native of Corpus Christi where he served on the Corpus Christi City Council before serving as the Texas House Representative from District 34, for four terms. Representative Capelo served on the House Public Health Committee while in the Texas House and was ultimately appointed Chair of the House Public Health Committee in his last term, the 78th Legislature. During the 78th Legislature, Representative Capelo not only chaired the Public Health Committee he also was the joint author of our historic medical liability reforms, HB 4 and HJR 3/Prop 12. Mr. Capelo is the Salutatorian of the 1980 Class of Roy Miller High School, a 1984 graduate of Yale University, and a 1991 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.
