Dr. Jacques Menetrey is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University Hospital of Geneva and Faculty of Medicine University of Geneva Switzerland, and Director of the Swiss Olympic Medical Center Hirslanden Clinique la Colline in Geneva. He accomplished his training at the University Hospital of Geneva and at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was a traveling fellow for the ESSKA and ASG. Specializing in knee surgery, he has been also interested in muscle injury and dedicated a good part of his research effort to muscle healing. He has numerous publications and has published a textbook entitled «The Knee joint: Surgical techniques and strategies».
As a team physician, Dr. Menetrey is the medical director of the Geneva Servette Hockey Club, Ballet du Grand Thêatre Geneva, he has been the medical director of the World Pro Tour IAMcycling team for four years and has worked for more than 15 years in alpine skiing for Swiss Ski Federation. Dr. Menetrey currently seats as 2nd Vice-President in the Board of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and as Treasurer in the Board of the Swiss Orthopaedic Surgery Society.
