Dr. Corcos is Professor of Surgery (Urology) at McGill University and Director of the Urology unit at the Rehabilitation Institute of Montreal. In 1977, he graduated from Montpellier University (France), where he remained until 1985, completing his training in surgery, urology, and tropical medicine.

His research focuses mainly on bladder dysfunction, urodynamic, and neuro-stimulation for which he is funded by the Canadian Health Institutes of Research (CHIR), the Kidney Foundation, and the Fond de recherché en sante du Quebec (FRSQ). He is the Director of the Incontinence Axis of the Geriatric Network of the FRSQ. From 2003-2005 he was the vice president of its “evaluation committee of clinical research.”

He has published more than 70 articles in peer reviewed journals and edited four books, Les vessies neurogènes de l’adulte (1996), The Urinary Sphincter (September 2001), Neurogenic Bladders (March 2004), and Evaluation and Treatment of Neurogenic Bladders (December 2004). He is a member of several international societies and associations, chaired the International Continence Society (ICS) meeting in 2005, chaired of the Neuro-urology Promotion Committee of the ICS, and is the Founding President of the Canadian Foundation for Research on Incontinence (www.CFRInc.ca).
