Jacqueline LaManna is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner with more than two decades of experience as a clinical provider and educator. She is board-certified in diabetes education and advanced diabetes management. Her primary research interest is in diabetes care across the lifespan, specifically during times of transition, and her scholarly work has been published and presented nationally. Her current research examines post-pregnancy care transition needs of women following diabetes-complicated pregnancies, and she is working on a funded study examining experiences of older adult male caregivers.
A certified telehealth educator, LaManna directs a four-year, HRSA ANEW grant-funded project supporting the preparation of primary care nurse practitioner students to practice in rural and medically underserved communities. Additionally, she is part of a national team of educators developing a toolkit to support the delivery of competency-based telehealth education in nurse practitioner programs. In addition to her academic appointments, LaManna practices at the Endocrine Clinic at the Florida Department of Health in Brevard County.
