Dr. Kreutzer is a pediatric interventional cardiologist at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. Originally from Argentina, she graduated with honors from the University of Buenos Aires Medical School in 1987. After an initial year of training in congenital heart disease pathology at Children’s Hospital of Boston, Harvard Medical School, she completed three years of general pediatrics residency at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

She then returned to Boston Children’s Hospital for Pediatric Cardiology training, which she completed in 1995. She remained on the faculty as an interventional cardiologist at Boston Children’s for five years and then became an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. After 5 years as an interventional cardiologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, she joined the program at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, where she currently practices.

Dr. Kreutzer’s clinical area of expertise involves cardiac catheterization and transcatheter intervention in congenital heart disease. She has special interest in novel catheter/device technology and clinical applications, transcatheter valve therapies, prenatal cardiac catheter intervention, the single ventricle circulation, transcatheter management of peripheral pulmonary artery stenosis as well as outcomes research and quality improvement applied to pediatric cardiac catheterization.
