Dr. Jacqueline K. Hewitt, MBBS, MD, Ph.D., FRACP is a Senior Lecturer at the Monash University. She has published original medical and scientific research, and treatment guidelines, and contributed to textbooks within the field. She has received awards and grants from the University of Melbourne, the University of Western Australia, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, the Australasian Paediatric Endocrine Group, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia.

Dr. Hewitt reviews for a number of key endocrine journals and research funding organizations and sits on multiple national and international health advisory committees. She consults for government bodies on issues regarding sex and gender and is recognized for expertise in disorders of sex development and gender dysphoria, having invitations to speak at national and international medical conferences on these topics. Dr. Hewitt also has a history of performing humanitarian aid work with a range of organizations, and currently, she is a Director of Medecins Sans Frontieres Australia. She is a committed advocate for diverse and marginalized children.
