Jacqueline Colgan

Jackie Colgan is a cardiac clinical nurse consultant in the Central Coast Local Health District. She is originally a hospital-trained nurse from Birmingham UK. Jackie holds a cardiac nursing graduate certificate and a master of nursing with an education major. Jackie has been an active executive member of the Australian Cardiovascular Nursing College and has acted in the role of secretary. In addition, Jackie is part of the teaching team at the University of Tasmania and coordinates the cardiovascular nursing Units. With 25 years’ experience as a nurse (18 in cardiology), her clinical practice interests include patient safety, smoking cessation interventions, and cardiology models of care.
