Jaclyn Wall MD

Dr. Jaclyn Wall, a gynecologic oncologist at VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, believes in the power of a multidisciplinary team to guide patients through every step, from diagnosis to treatment. With expertise in cancers of the uterus, cervix, ovaries, vagina, and vulva, she combines advanced surgical techniques with medical therapies to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. “Learning you have cancer is extremely stressful, and so much is unknown, which can be frightening,” she says. “We’re here to help through every step to ensure every patient has the best and most comprehensive care.”

She is passionate about advancing the field of gynecologic oncology through research and education. Her research focuses on strategies to improve quality of life for patients with gynecologic cancers, particularly through early integration of palliative and supportive care. She has received research funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the Palliative Research Enhancement Project and has contributed extensively to peer-reviewed publications in gynecologic oncology, cancer outcomes, and supportive care.

Wall is a Virginia native who earned her medical degree from the VCU School of Medicine after completing undergraduate studies at Duke University. She trained in obstetrics and gynecology at Duke before completing a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She further honed her expertise in supportive oncology and palliative care through specialized training at Harvard Medical School.

At VCU, Wall enjoys a role as an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the School of Medicine, mentoring medical students and residents. She has been recognized for her excellence in medical education, having served as an administrative chief resident during her training and receiving awards for outstanding teaching.
