Jackie Rau is a project lead at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan tasked with administering a number of statewide efforts to improve treatment quality and reduce medical costs in areas of care with high cost and high variation. Jackie focuses on promoting collaboration amongst providers, insurers, and patients, specifically in oncology, radiation therapy, bariatric surgery, and transitions of care. She is particularly passionate about including the patient voice in quality improvement and on creating rewarding partnerships amongst stakeholders. Jackie earned a Master of Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan, where she also graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of the Arts. She worked in physician analytics at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston before assuming her current role.
