Jaap Wieling MSc, PhD

Dr. Jaap Wieling brings over 30 years of experience as an executive and entrepreneur in (bio)pharmaceutical research and development. He is a seasoned expert in building effective and efficient R&D and product development organizations. His comprehensive and commonsensical approach ensures the best possible way to efficacious development of candidate medicines.

Dr.Wieling has been active in the drug development arena since 1988, as a scientist, as an executive, and as an entrepreneur. He has built research and managerial expertise in biological manufacturing & quality control, preclinical and clinical research & development including pharmacology, DMPK, bioanalysis, and translational medicine.

He has co-founded a clinical and bioanalytical CRO in 1999, and 2 biopharmaceutical companies in 2015 and 2017 respectively. Between 1995 and 2015 he has been a lecturer at Groningen University on various drug development topics, he is co-founder and co-organizer of many conferences and author of around 100 scientific presentations and publications.
