Dr W. Jaap Willems is an internationally-known knee (40%) and shoulder surgeon and medical educator, and has published widely in the medical press. He has a special interest in cruciate ligament surgery and sports injuries. Dr Willems' unit is recognised by ISAKOS as an arthroscopic teaching centre. Besides his normal work in Amsterdam, Dr Willems also consults monthly at the International Knee and Joint Centre in Abu Dhabi.
