J. Vimal Raj MBBS, FRCR, PGDMLS, EDM

Dr. Vimal Raj is a consultant radiologist and is a renowned specialist in the field of cardiothoracic imaging. He is currently working in Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital, Bangalore.
He did his primary medical degree in Government Medical College, Bellary and after completing his house surgeon training he immigrated to United Kingdom.
In UK, he trained as a surgeon and then took up Radiology as a career. He has worked in three of the leading cardiothoracic centers of the world, i.e. Cambridge (Papworth Hospital), London (Royal Brompton Hospital) and Leicester (Glenfield Hospital). He has also worked with the British Army and was deployed in the war zone in Afghanistan.
He has keen academic and teaching interests and has published a book for radiology trainees. He has also written multiple book chapters on radiology. He has published nearly 50 articles in world-renowned journals and has given invitational lectures to international gatherings. He also holds a patent in catheter design for performing post-mortem CT coronary angiography.
The British and Karnataka state government have conferred multiple awards to him for his exemplary work.
He has special interest in the field of management and has led multiple teams in both civil and military practice. He holds a diploma in the field of hospital management (EDM) and postgraduate qualification in medico legal systems (PGDMLS).
