J P Nolan

JP Nolan is a registered adult nurse with experience in NHS, independent sector and defence nursing in five countries. JP graduated from UCD and the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin. After graduating he went on to work in critical care before relocating to London and a post in Accident and Emergency at Moorfields Eye Hospital. JP studied in a number of London universities including Thames Valley and City gaining qualifications in infection control nursing, ophthalmic nursing and an MSc incorporating advanced practice modules in physical assessment and medicines management.

While a clinical nurse specialist at Barts and the London NHS Trust JP was awarded the Edith Cavell Scholarship for his work on vascular access management. The scholarship involved travelling to the USA and working with nursing teams there to reduce access related complications, particularly in the dialysis population.
