Ivo Lambrichts DDS, PhD

Prof. Ivo Lambrichts is a scientist who has been exploring the field of oral biology with a special interest in innervation, microscopy, and ultrastructural imaging of oral tissues. Prof. Lambrichts is a full professor of microscopic anatomy and pathology at Hasselt University. His group has been focusing on dental pulp stem cell research for pulp tissue and nerve regeneration. Part of his work is also using dental pulp stem cells in anti-cancer therapy and repair of ischemic brain and cardiac stroke. He published 197 A1 peer-reviewed scientific papers and contributed to several book chapters. His work is recognized by the international community for his expertise in general and oral histology and stem cell research. Recently he received the Distinguished Scientist Award of the International Association for Dental Research in 2020. During his career, Prof. Lambrichts was a mentor in numerous research activities.
