Dr Rosenzweig heads the Sleep and Brain Plasticity Centre and all its research activities. She obtained her MD from the University of Zagreb and her PhD from the Trinity College, University of Cambridge. She is an experienced consultant neuropsychiatrist with subspecialty expertise in sleep and neurophysiology, having trained and worked in university teaching hospitals in Cambridge and London.

She is a recipient and a co-ordinator of the multidisciplinary and multi-site project in sleep research funded by the Wellcome Trust. With her colleagues at the Centre for Neuroimaging Sciences at King's College London (KCL) and the Sleep Disorders Centre at Guy’s Hospital, she founded the Sleep and Brain Plasticity Centre (SleepCity) at the KCL and is currently exploring the role of sleep on brain plasticity and cognition, both in clinical and preclinical studies, with a particular focus on the sleep oscillations. Sleep rhythms/oscillations form a ubiquitous idiosyncratic pattern of cortical activity during sleep and their role in maintaining the physiological brain states or leading to pathological brain states and neurodegenerative processes is far from clear. Dr Rosenzweig’s long term goal is to elucidate the fundamental role of sleep brain rhythms in sleep-dependent memory formation processes.
