Dr. Ivana Crnkovic, PhD, MPT, MHS, is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Applied Health Sciences in Zagreb, Croatia, specializing in Clinical Health Sciences, Physical Medicine, and Rehabilitation. She is a licensed physiotherapist and holds advanced qualifications in physiotherapy, health sciences, and biomedicine.
Dr. Crnkovic’s academic and research interests include physical activity, rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation, adapted physical activity, and evidence-based healthcare education. She has contributed to numerous scientific and professional projects and has authored several dozen publications indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar.
Her doctoral research at the University of Rijeka focused on the construction and validation of a questionnaire for assessing physical activity among elderly people in institutional care. She has also contributed to research examining physical activity and chronic diseases among long-term care residents.
Dr. Crnkovic is also an editor and co-author of Pulmonary Rehabilitation, described as the first university textbook on pulmonary rehabilitation in Croatia. In addition to her academic work, she has served as a long-standing associate of the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education and has been involved in educational and community rehabilitation initiatives.
