Ivan received medical degree from Emory University in 2002. I continued at Emory for my pediatric residency, and chief residency. Ivan completed my pediatric cardiology fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine. He continued there to complete an advanced fellowship in heart failure and transplantation, and was actively involved in the Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) program.

He have served as the co-director of Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplant at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, and currently serve as an Assistant Professor at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the Heart Institute.He is active member of the Heart Failure, Transplant, and MCS team at CCHMC where he pursue research in pediatric heart failure, transplant, and MCS. His research interests include health related quality of life in the pediatric cardiomyopathy population, the significant impacts on the effectiveness of MCS in children with acute fulminant and persistent myocarditis, and the evolving field of pediatric MCS.
