Ivan Garza, MD, is an internationally recognized headache specialist and neurologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he serves as Associate Professor of Neurology. He is widely regarded for his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex headache disorders, including migraine, cluster headache, cranial neuralgias, spontaneous cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks, and idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH). His clinical practice is dedicated to helping patients with challenging and often disabling neurological pain conditions through comprehensive, evidence-based care.
Dr. Garza earned his medical degree from Universidad de Monterrey in Mexico before completing an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Neurology at the Cleveland Clinic. He subsequently pursued fellowship training in Headache Medicine at Mayo Clinic, where he joined the faculty and developed a distinguished career in headache medicine and clinical neurology.
