Ivan Eisler PhD

Eisler is the principal architect of Maudsley Family Therapy for adolescents with anorexia nervosa. He has since developed a second generation Family Based Therapy for adolescents with anorexia nervosa that uses a multifamily group model. Dr. Eisler visited UCSD in early 2010 and provided instruction to our staff on his new model, which we have since incorporated into our adolescent program. During his sabbatical, Dr. Eisler will provide further training for the UCSD program staff as well as the community.

On Friday May 6, Dr. Eisler will give grand rounds at Rady Children’s Hospital between 830 and 930am. On Friday June 3, Dr. Eisler will take part in a workshop on new treatments for eating disorders at Rady Children’s Hospital. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Eisler to San Diego.
