Ivan Bristow PHD, FFPM RCPS(GLASG), FCPODMED, MSC(OXON) BSC(HONS)

Ivan Bristow is a senior lecturer at the University of Southampton. Since the commencement of his career, he has held a strong interest in skin problems establishing a foot dermatology clinic in the UK in 1992 at the Department of Dermatology in Oxford. Awarded a Master’s Degree from the University of Oxford, he has continued to promote podiatric dermatology worldwide working with dermatologists and general practitioners on various education programmes.

He has co-authored four books and has published over 70 papers in podiatric dermatology. He is a former Dean at the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine, College of Podiatry in London and is a Fellow at the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Previously, he held an honorary research post at the St Johns Institute of Dermatology, London investigating foot melanoma. His current work includes research into treatment of common foot infections.
