Ivan Antunez Gonzalez MD

Dr. Ivan Antunez attended the University of Puerto Rico and received his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine. He completed his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at the San Juan VA Medical Center and Gastroenterology at the UPR School of Medicine. Dr. Antunez has been a faculty member at the GI program of UPR School of Medicine for the past fourteen years. He is a faculty member at the Auxilio Mutuo Liver Transplant Center. He was one of the initial physicians of this program, which was started 5 years ago. It is the first and only transplant center in Puerto Rico. Dr. Antunez is the president of the Puerto Rico Gastroenterology Association. He has been on the board of directors for twelve years and has occupied several leadership positions. He has been involved in the organization of multiple medical scientific meetings. He has also presented several lectures on different GI and Hepatology topics.
