Itoro Udofia PhD

Itoro Udofia is the Head of Medical Device Operations and Training at BSI. Itoro has over fifteen years’ experience working with orthopaedics devices, and his past roles for BSI include as a Technical Specialist, and as Global Head of the Orthopaedics and Dental devices team.

Itoro has a background in academia and research in biomedical engineering, biotribology and computational modelling of orthopaedic devices. Itoro has worked as a research consultant with leading orthopaedic manufacturers in product development and testing. Itoro has authored and published numerous scientific papers and has delivered many presentations and workshops at international conferences on European medical device regulations. Itoro’s qualifications include: BEng (Hons.) Biomedical Engineering and PhD Biomedical Engineering and Computational Modelling. He is a past visiting Professor at Wuhan University of Science and Technology
