Ishir Bhan MD, MPH

Ishir Bhan is a Senior Director of Clinical Research at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. He oversaw the design and development of eBridge, currently the principal tool for electronic inpatient documentation at MGH. He also leads the development of Mojo, a clinical iPhone and iPad app used by over 2000 practitioners at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Bhan earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and obtained a master’s degree in public health from Harvard School of Public Health. He completed fellowships with both the MGH Laboratory of Computer Science and the MGH and Brigham and Women’s Hospital's Divisions of Nephrology. He holds faculty appointments at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.He conducts clinical research on the biological actions of vitamin D in humans, supervises and educates trainees, and provides clinical care. Furthermore, he serves as the Nephrology Subspecialty Education Coordinator for the MGH Medicine Residency program, organizing resident rotations in Nephrology.
