Since 2002, she has been leading the "Biosynthesis and Mycotoxin Toxicity" team, which works on three aspects of the mycotoxin problem: mechanisms for the production of toxins by fungi, the impact of mycotoxins on human and animal health (particularly pork), and the development of strategies to control the contamination and effects of these toxins.
