Isabella Morton MD, MPH

Dr. Isabella Morton is currently an Addiction Psychiatry Fellow at UCSF. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Relations from Brown University and her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai. She completed a Masters of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health focused on global mental health. After her intern year at University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt in Baltimore, she completed her general adult psychiatry residency at the University of California, Los Angeles where she was a chief resident of CGP.

She was an APA Public Psychiatry fellow on the Council on Addiction Psychiatry. She spent two years moonlighting at Project 180 working with individuals who had recently been incarcerated and were experiencing homelessness and mental illness, and also worked with The People Concern on their Downtown FSP. She has done some global health work and a little bit of research. She provides asylum evaluations for Physicians for Human Rights. She enjoys working with patients with serious mental illness, trauma, homelessness, justice-involvement and addiction.
