Ireneusz Haponiuk MD, PhD

Dr. Ireneusz Haponiuk is a doctor of medical sciences and a 2nd degree specialist in cardiac surgery at INVICTA. He deals with the qualification for interventional treatment of congenital heart defects and the optimization of the method of surgical treatment of congenital heart defects. He conducts follow-up consultations after operations of congenital heart defects and qualification for cardiac surgery in adults. He is the head of the Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery of the Hospital Nicolaus Copernicus in Gdansk. He co-created this department as the first one dealing with pediatric cardiac surgery in northern Poland. He graduated from the Medical Academy in Gda?sk.
