Irene Moor completed her studies in health sciences (public health) at the University of Bielefeld, where she did her doctorate on "Health inequalities in childhood and adolescence: trends and mechanisms". Since 2011 she has been working as a research assistant at the Institute for Medical Sociology and she has mainly been concerned with the health and health behavior of children and young people in the context of social inequality in Germany and internationally (see www.hbsc-germany.de). Above all, the description and explanation of health inequalities are her main research areas, which she also contributes to a current project on the life course.
