Prof. Dr. medical Irene Hinterseher was elected first vice president of the Brandenburg Medical School (MHB). Prof. Dr. Hinterseher has been Section Head for Vascular Surgery at the Ruppiner Kliniken, an MHB university hospital network in Neuruppin, since 2021. She is a specialist in surgery and vascular surgery and previously worked as a senior physician in the clinic for vascular surgery at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. As the elected Vice President, she will focus more on the issues of equality and sustainability and further intensify contact with the clinics.
Irene Hinterseher is really looking forward to this new task and would like to thank you in advance for the trust you have placed in her. During her time as an assistant doctor at the medical faculty of the TU Dresden, she was trained as a tutor in problem-oriented learning (POL) and the science-based and practice-oriented teaching concept of the MHB immediately convinced her. As a clinician, she has a good insight into many areas of the MHB and would also like to use this position to bring the perspective of the employees and students even more to the Executive Committee. In her new role, she has a representative of the Academy in the Executive Committee and she would like to act as a bridge-builder between the Senate, the Faculty, and the Executive Committee,” said Prof. Dr. Hinterseher in a first statement.
