Irene Bargellini MD

Dr. Irene Bargellini is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at Careggi University Hospital, Italy. She was born in Viareggio (Lucca), Italy in 1974. In 1996 she graduated from Medical School at the University of Pisa, Italy and in 2003 she became board certified in Radiology at the University of Pisa also. From 2003 Dr. Bargellini worked as a Staff Radiologist in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology of the University of Pisa and from 2011 onwards she led the Interventional Oncology Program at Pisa University Hospital. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology and ESIRonline and is a Reviewer of several journal such as European Radiology, European Journal of Radiology, Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, Insights into Imaging, Lancet Oncology, Digestive and Liver Disease.

Dr. Bargellini is also a Fellow of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) and a Member of the Italian Society of Radiology (SIRM), European Society of Radiology (ESR), and CIRSE (Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society in Europe). She has participated as a guest speaker at several national and international courses and is Author and co-author of several papers and book chapters mainly in the field of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Interventional Oncology.
