Dr. Ioanna Kosmidou, MD, is an Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Kosmidou received her medical degree from Patras University School of Medicine and her Ph.D. from Athens University School of Medicine, Greece. She completed cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at Emory University School of Medicine and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Her expertise also includes the management of implantable devices (such as pacemakers and defibrillators) and cardiac resynchronization therapy in patients with a cardiac device who require non-cardiac pharmacologic or invasive treatment.

Her research interests are Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Atrial Fibrillation, Cardiac Arrhythmias, Coronary Artery Disease, Structural Heart Disease, and Cardiac Rhythm Disorders.
