Dr. Ioan Bulescu's medical career began in 2004 when he first stepped into the halls of the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, the most prestigious University of Medicine in Romania. He graduated from the University courses in 2010, obtaining the title of Doctor-Medic after the licensure exam. He took the National Residency Competition in November of the same year, obtaining the title of Resident Physician in the Specialty of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery.
Starting in January 2011, he started training in the ENT specialty at the "Dorin Hociotă" Institute of Speech-Language and Functional ENT Surgery, working as a resident doctor in Department 1 of the Institute. During residency, the basis of his medical practice was represented by rhinological surgery (surgery of the nose and paranasal sinuses) but also by laryngeal surgery and cervical surgery. During this period he acquired the necessary knowledge and capabilities to diagnose and treat the vast majority of rhinological and cervico-facial pathology. After completing the training as a resident doctor, he passed the specialty exam, and since 2015 he has been working as a specialist in the field of ENT.
Already during his training as a resident doctor, he participated in training courses and internships in the field of Endoscopic Rhinosinus Surgery and in the field of Somnology and Sleep Surgery, both in Romania and abroad.
Currently, his medical practice mainly deals with respiratory disorders during sleep (snoring, sleep apnea) and the pathology of the nose and paranasal sinuses, but also that of the pharynx and larynx. In office conditions, he examines and treats patients with all ENT conditions.
Following his medical training, he obtained medical practice skills in ENT Endoscopic Surgery, ENT LASER Surgery, and Clinical Audiology (skills included in the professional standard) but also in Somnology (levels I and II), obtained through competition. He is currently one of the very few ENT Specialists who have competence in Somnology.
