Insherah Musa is a licensed clinical psychologist (Jordan). Prior to joining Free to Run, she worked as a mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) Specialist for UNFPA in Iraq for 3 years, working on the integration of MHPSS into gender-based violence, youth, and sexual and reproductive health services. Before that, she worked as a Country Director for Jesuit Refugee Service (Jordan) for 3 years, where she oversaw projects and operations with a focus on: access to higher education in emergencies, social protection through a home visit project, and mental health and psychosocial support to refugees and the host community. Earlier in her career, Insherah worked for the Center for Victims of Torture CVT/Jordan) as psychosocial team leader for 9 years. Insherah started Sokoon Training and Consultation Center to provide technical support as well as staff care for workers in the humanitarian field; in addition, she was a co-founder of the Jordanian Clinical Psychologist Association. She has a bachelor’s degree in general psychology, a master’s in clinical psychology, and is finalizing her PHD in clinical Psychology.
