Ines Velez DDS, MS

Ines Velez is a Professor and Director of Pathology at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Velez emerged as a leader in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology through her research related to the clinical diagnosis of oral cancer and wound healing. Dr. Velez’s excellence was apparent throughout her professional training and her tenure as a faculty member, as evidenced by her being presented with both the Golden Apple teaching award by the students here at NSU and the Annual Educator award by the Florida Dental Association. She was skilled in connecting patient management with the principles of basic biomedical science. She completed her Doctor in Dental Surgery at the Colombian Dental College.
