Ina Bergheim PhD

Prof. Dr. Ina Bergheim is a specialist in Nutrition. Bergheim obtained a diploma in Home economics and Nutritional Science 1997, followed by a PhD in Nutritional Science in 2002. After working as a PostDoc at the University of Lousiville, Kentucky, USA, she returned to University of Hohenheim,Stuttgart, Germany in 2005 to pursue her research in the Dept. of Nutritional Medicine.

In 2008 she was awarded a young investigator group funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science. In 2012 she was appointed as full-professor at the Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena, Germany, where she heads the Specialty Departments `Model Systems of Molecular Nutrition´ in the Institute of Nutritional Sciences and coordinates the Bachelor “Nutritional Sciences”.
