Ina B. Kopp

Dr. Ina Kopp is Director of the German Association of the Scientific Medical Societies´ Institute of Medical Knowledge-Management (AWMF-IMWi). AWMF-IMWi coordinates and supports the development of Clinical Practice Guidelines by the 168 specialty societies organised under the umbrella of AWMF. Dr Kopp is involved in several quality initiatives in Germany including the National Programme for Disease Management Guidelines, the Programme for Guidelines in Oncology and the National Project for Cross-Sectoral Quality in Health Care. She trained in general surgery (1995-2000) and internal medicine (2001-2002), received her MD and her professorship from the University of Marburg, did research work in the field of health services research and quality improvement and authored/co-authored more than 150 publications. She is a a member of the G-I-N Board of Trustees since August 2012 and Vice-Chair of G-I-N since August 2013.
