Ilona Dekkers MD PhD

Ilona Dekkers is a radiologist and epidemiologist (MSc Epidemiology 2012; Medicine 2014) with a strong background in translational research. She has combined my specialist training in Radiology at the LUMC with a Ph.D. research track (May 2015 - June 2020). Her research is focused on technical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) development and population-based imaging studies, in particular in relation to obesity and the cardio-renal axis. Currently, She is combining her work as a postdoctoral researcher with clinical work as a staff radiologist at the LUMC.
