Ilana Berger

Ilana graduated with an Honours degree in Social Work in 1993 in South Africa. Her 22 years of experience has largely involved working with Adolescents and Young Adults in the oncology field. She is currently a Senior Clinician and Team Leader with the ONTrac at Peter Mac Victorian Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Service. Her role includes responsibility for the clinical leadership of the team ensuring a high standard of patient care; leading the state-wide education and training framework for healthcare professionals working in this field and responsibility for the provision of clinical supervision and support to staff. She also provides direct care to complex patients and their families. Ilana has a special interest in AYA Oncology and Palliative Care, having completed a research Masters at Melbourne University in the field.
