Dr. Paredes completed his medical studies at the Complutense University of Madrid and completed the MIR obtaining number 23, which allowed him to choose the first neurosurgery training place in his class, at Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid. After completing his training as a specialist in Neurosurgery between 2008 and 2013 and working as a neurosurgeon at the Virgen de la Salud Hospital in Toledo between 2013 and 2015, he obtained his Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery in 2016 and completed the Fellow of the Specialization program. European Board of Neurological Surgery that same year. His dedication to minimally invasive endoscopic surgery is completed with a specific training period at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Likewise, his interest in head trauma and derived sleep disorders led him to complete his own Master's Degree in Sleep: Physiology and Medicine at the Faculty of Biology of the University of Murcia, in 2020.

Dr. Paredes has specialized in endoscopic treatments and open surgery of skull base tumors, especially adenomas, meningiomas, or malignant tumors of the skull base. His other great passion is the most complex diseases of the spine and spinal cord, such as fractures and spinal cord injuries, tumors of the spine, both those originating in it and metastatic ones, and other serious spinal diseases intervened with both techniques open as minimally invasive and endoscopic. In the year 2022, a new journey begins together with Dr. Castaño at the Vithas Arturo Soria hospital, forming a team capable of treating neurosurgical pathology in all its aspects.
