Ibrahim M. Salman is a committed academician, scientist, and pharmacist with years of experience in leading education, research, and healthcare institutions. In addition to excellent academic qualifications, he has more than 15 years of research experience with substantial skills in sophisticated research techniques and technologies. With spontaneous mentoring ability, he also coaches students, researchers, and staff to foster career growth and development.

He has well-established international academic and professional standing in the field of autonomic neuroscience, and his research primarily focuses on the autonomic neuroregulation of cardiovascular function. For that, he used experimental rodent models of normal and disease states to specifically elucidate mechanisms relating to altered cardiovascular autonomic control in hypertension, metabolic syndrome, and chronic kidney disease. Specifically, he applies a multi-disciplinary research approach ranging from whole animal physiology and pharmacology to electrophysiology (e.g., whole fiber neural recordings and neurostimulation). He has also contributed a variety of research papers and abstracts, and served as a reviewer for many leading medical journals including the American Journal of Physiology, Frontiers in Physiology, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Basic and Clinical Autonomic Neuroscience, Acta Physiologica, Experimental and Clinical Hypertension and Circulation.
