Ian E. Mccutcheon MD

Dr. Ian E.McCutcheon is a Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center and has been a member of the department for 20 years. He is also the President of the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. McCutcheon’s subspecialty interests include pituitary tumors, neurofibromatosis and meningiomabiology. At MD Anderson, he has built a pituitary tumor program that now includes 5 endocrinologists and the pituitary caseload now exceeds 100 patients annually. Dr. McCutcheon also serves as primary surgeon for the institutional program in von Hippel-Lindau disease. His laboratory research has focused on the biology of meningiomas, and he has maintained a parallel interest in surgical strategies for treating patients with neurofibromatosis.
