Ian A. Cree MBSc, MBChB, PhD, FRCPath

Ian is a molecular pathologist at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, a visiting professor at Coventry University, and an honorary professor of pathology at University College London’s Institute of Ophthalmology. His research investigates disease mechanisms to improve diagnosis and treatment, particularly for cancer, and he currently leads the Royal College of Pathologists’ Research Committee and the Early Cancer Detection Consortium. In the future, he expects to see more technological involvement in pathology, augmented by new sequencing, mass spectrometry, and Big Data.
