Howard Ryland MA, MSc, DPhil, MRCPsych

Howard Ryland is a clinical academic forensic psychiatrist. Howard is FMLM’s national coordinator of the regional trainee representatives and edits the trainee and student newsletter. He is also a doctor training in forensic psychiatry. He took a year out of clinical training as part of the National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellows Scheme to gain experience in leadership and health policy. During his placement at the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, he worked with Health Education England to develop Inspire Improvement, designed to identify and support exciting innovations led by doctors in training.
