Howard J. Jacob PhD

Howard J. Jacob Currently is the Vice President and Head of Genomic Research, AbbVie. Previously served as President and Chief Scientific Officer of Envision Genomics, Inc. Executive VP Medical Genomics; Chief Medical Genomics Officer; HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. Has over 240 scientific publications and has secured $85M grant funding from the National Institutes of Health over the last 19 years. Envision Genomics is his fourth start-up. Dr. Jacob has served as an interim CEO for each start-up raised money from investors, as well as led the development of the initial business plans. He has led the scientific teams and secured SBIR grants and created scientific credibility for the companies started.

Dr. Jacob is currently the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Alverno College, A member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Livestock Improvement Corporation (NZ), and a member of the National Advisory Board for National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). He also serves as the Chief Scientific Officer for MedRedi Solutions, LLP. a company focused on the distribution of new and cutting-edge medical devices, products and services into the healthcare market.
