Dr. Houman Khalili, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is an Interventional Cardiologist at the Memorial Healthcare System. He specializes in treating cardiac disease percutaneously using catheters and treating complex coronary artery disease using advanced techniques and intracoronary imaging. The range of cardiac conditions that can be treated with these procedures varies broadly and ranges from complex valvular heart disease to coronary stenosis (blockages). He has expertise in treating structural heart disease and using transcatheter techniques to treat aortic and mitral valve disease with minimally invasive techniques.
Despite his sub-specialization in interventional cardiology, I take a holistic approach to care. He understands that procedures are not appropriate for everyone. His goal is always to do a thorough assessment to come to a diagnosis and go through the risks and benefits of all options in detail with patients and their families. It is very gratifying to help patients return to the level of physical activity that they enjoyed before they were limited by their cardiac condition.
In addition to patient care, He is also passionate about clinical research and the clinical education of medical trainees. He is a clinical associate professor and was the associate program director of the cardiovascular fellowship at Florida Atlantic University. He received the 2022 Florida ACC Chapter Fellow Choice Award for Teaching and has presented at multiple national and international meetings.
