Hossein GharibMD, MACP, MACE
Hossein Gharib, a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, completed internal medicine residency and fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the Mayo Clinic, where he is currently a Professor of Medicine. Dr. Gharib is an international authority on thyroid disorders, having published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers and lectured at more than 350 national & international endocrine events.
He has received many honors & awards, including the prestigious Paul Starr Award of the American Thyroid Association and the Distinguished Physician Award of the Endocrine Society. He is a Master of both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology and received an honorary doctorate degree from “Carol Davila” University of Medicine & Pharmacy in Romania in 2015. He is a Past President of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American College of Endocrinology, and the American Thyroid Association. His citation index is >8700 and H-index 49.
