Hongqian Guo MS, PhD

Prof. Hongqian Guo is now the director of the Urology Department of Drum Tower Hospital, the affiliated hospital of Nanjing University Medical School; and the director of the Institute of Urology, Nanjing University. He is also the professor and doctoral supervisor of Nanjing University, Nanjing Medical University. Prof. Guo has focused on the minimally invasive treatment of urological oncology since 1999. He made a great contribution to focal therapy on prostate and kidney cancer. He has completed many cases of radiofrequency ablation and cryoablation therapy for prostate or renal cancer. Since September 2014, his team has performed more than 2500 cases of robotic surgery.

Prof. Guo is now the chairman of the Urological Disease Committee of the Quality Control Association of Jiangsu Province. the vice chairman of the Urological Society, Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Association of Jiangsu Province; the vice president of the Minimal group of the Urological Society, Jiangsu Medical Association; the committee member of the Organ Transplantation Society, Jiangsu Medical Association; the committee member of the Robotic Surgeon Society, Chinese Medical Doctor Association; the committee member of the Urological Oncology group of the Urologist Society, Chinese Medical Doctor Association. In the past five years, his team has published more than 110 papers in international journals, such as the Journal of Urology, Urology, and BJU International. Prof. Guo also participated in many works, such as "Wu Jieping Urological Surgery", "Urology Operative Surgery" and "The Operation Guidelines for Robotic Surgery".
