Homa Sayyar Woodrum has been licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada since October 2007. She graduated from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in May 2007 with her Juris Doctorate. Prior to law school, she earned her BSBA in International Business at UNLV and has lived in Nevada since the year 2000 after relocating from Wasilla, Alaska.

Courts are (and should be) open to access by self-represented parties, and having an attorney at your side can provide peace of mind. Homa has experience as an extern with the Nevada Supreme Court during one law school semester, volunteering with the Nevada Immigrant Resource Project, and practicing guardianship, bankruptcy, and civil/business litigation in her first associate position. Prior to law school, she even worked as a file clerk for a local firm and was able to participate in that capacity in a multi-district litigation matter. Prior to opening her own law firm, Woodrum Law, she primarily practiced as Of Counsel on matters involving guardianship and family law.

In 2013 Homa was inducted into the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada's "100 Hours Club" for providing over 100 hours of pro bono (free) legal services through LACSN. In 2012 she was listed on LACSN's "Honor Roll" relating to pro bono service and volunteered at their "Ask-A-Lawyer" program held at Family Court. She is also currently a member of the Clark County Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Nevada State Bar Elder Law Section, and Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys, and serves on the Discovery Charter School board.
