Hisham Ali Ibrahim Maghraby MBBS, MSc

Dr. Hisham Maghraby is currently a consultant and the head of the urology department at Medeor 24x7 hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is affiliated with Asyut University, Egypt as a professor in urology.

Dr. Maghraby graduated from the faculty of Medicine, at Asyut University in Egypt in 1981. He spent his residency at the university hospital in Asyut ad had a master's degree in urology in 1985. He worked as a research fellow at the Medical Laser Center and the Medical University of Lübeck, Germany between February 1988 and June 1990. There he has conducted his research and training on intracorporal lithotripsy techniques and prepared his thesis for the doctorate degree in urology, that was granted to him in 1992.

Dr. Maghraby was active in the research and development of early laser lithotripters and their clinical applications. In addition, he continued his passion in the field of other urologic laser soft tissue applications. Dr. Maghraby became a fellow of the European Board of Urology in 2005, and in 2015 he obtained a Master's degree in health care administration from Phoenix University, Arizona, USA.
