Dr. Khalil obtained his M.D. from McMaster University's patient-centered medical program in 2006. This was followed by five years of specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa, where he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Khalil then completed a 2-year fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at the IWK Health Centre, Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His specific interests include urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, obstetrical care, fecal incontinence, failed prolapse and incontinence surgeries, complications related to prior incontinence or prolpase surgeries, repair and management of 3rd and 4th degree tears, interstitial cystitis, evaluation of microscopic hematuria.
Dr. Khalil specializes in both surgical and non-surgical management of these disorders and is committed to a patient centered approach. Dr. Khalil is the Fellowship Program director in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Ottawa, is a practicing Urogynecologist and Obstetrician at the Ottawa Hospital, and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa.
